Recently, UNESCO named Fado to its list of Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity. The significance of the Fado to Portuguese
culture cannot be denied and it continues to be a popular genre of music. It
has been described as encompassing the soul of the country and its lyrics tend
toward describing a melancholy or a longing.

It's rather serendipitous that I should find myself in front of the Casa-Museu of Dr. Anastácio Gonçalves in the Avenidas Novas section of Lisboa. Summer day at the museum



During the summer I was able to make it over to the Berardo Collection.  An interesting
place, the permanent collection itself was displayed by chronological styles
that played up the rather impressive grouping of 1960s works.

Another way to serve this dish is to incorporate the fried potatoes in the skillet with the cooked cod and egg.  Just fold in the fried potatoes into the cooked mixture just to coat them (or it can get too mushy), then serve.
